Mobile Racking

Mobile racking offers high space usage but comes with low handling capacity. Mitsubishi Logisnext Europe offers a range of solutions for this storage option.

The following vehicles are optimal for mobile racking

In mobile racking, the racking rests on motor-driven trolleys and is transported using floor-installed rails. A dense storage unit with a moving aisle can be formed from a series of racks. The truck driver uses radio, a button system or light signal to open the aisle they need. Mobile racking affords very high space usage, but by contrast it offers low handling capacity.

Mobile racking comes with a relatively high capital cost. Goods can be placed into stock efficiently with a stacker or counterbalance truck when the moving aisle is 3.5 m wide. Mobile racking is effective in settings such as freezer stores.

Mitsubishi Logisnext Europe offers a range of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) that your facility can use to make mobile racking safer and more reliable.
