Block Storage and Buffer Line Storage

Block storage and Buffer Line Storage (also known as free stacking or block stacking) are the simplest storage methods for goods on pallets. It means that the goods are packed together tightly, and when all the articles on the pallets are the same height, vertical stacking of the pallets is possible. Floor markings are often used to denote distinct lanes for each article. The lanes must be wide enough for both the loads and the vehicles moving them. Unless there are large quantities of the same article, block storage and buffer line storage are wasteful forms of storage.

When all the articles on the pallets are the same height, vertical stacking of the pallets its possible.

Mitsubishi Logisnext Europe offers a range of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) that your facility can use to make block storage and buffer line storage safer and more reliable.
